RABBI MEIR KAHANE: Parashat Nasso - Naked Betrayal

The Torah commands that before each Jew who is going to study, read or take part in discussions and studies related to the Torah, one must recite (once in the day,) the following blessing:
Blessed are You, Hashem our G-d, King of the universe, Who has made us holy through His commandments, and commanded us to actively study Torah.
Please Hashem, our G-d, sweeten the words of Your Torah in our mouths and in the mouths of all Your people Israel. May we and our offspring, and our offspring's offspring, and all the offspring of Your people, the House of Israel, may we all, together, know Your Name and study Your Torah for the sake of fulfilling Your desire. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who teaches Torah to His people Israel.
Blessed are You, Hashem our G-d, King of the universe, Who chose us from all the nations, and gave us the Torah. Blessed are You, Hashem, Giver of the Torah.

Torah Portion of the week

Parashat ha Shavua: Nasso

Commentary by our beloved  Rabbi Kahane Obm

Hashem spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the Children of Israel and say to them: Any man whose wife shall go astray and commit treachery against him [“u-ma'alah bo ma'al”], and a man could have lain with her carnally, but it was hidden from the eyes of her husband, and she became secluded and could have been defiled ...The man shall bring his wife to the Kohen and he shall bring her offering for her... (Num. 5: 11-13,15)

In Me'ilah 18a we find: "Ma'al" can only mean “change” [i.e., acting differently from what G-d commanded us to do]. Thus it says, “If a woman deviates and commits a “ma'al” against her husband” (Num. 5:12) [i.e., switching mates for a strange man]. It also says (I Chron. 5:25), “They committed a “ma'al” against the G-d of their ancestors and strayed after the gods of the nations of the land” [i.e., they they switched from worshiping G-d to worshiping idols.] A woman who profanes her holiness by turning to harlotry is called a “zonah”, and a married woman who commits adultery is called a “sotah”. Both words convey deviation, altering the role one was commanded to follow (see Torat Kohanim, Vayikra, Parsheta 11).

In actual fact, change and deceit are one. Whoever veers from his role is untrue to it. Change, deceit and “me'ilah” are all one, as well, because “me'ilah” means casting off one's yoke, which is what one does when he wishes to alter his role and lie about his mission in the world. “Me'ilah” means betraying [begidah] one's duty, and “me'ilah” [deceit] and “begidah” [treason] resemble “me'il” and “beged”, two words for clothing. Our clothing symbolizes the Divine yoke and holiness G-d placed on Adam, naked of mitzvot and holiness, as a covering. “Me'ilah” and “Begidah” indicate the removal of this spiritual garb. As Ibn Ezra (Lev. 5:15) writes, “If anyone commit a trespass [“ma'al”]: I.e., he removes his “ma'al”, his covering, from the same root as “me'il”, cloak.” If someone casts off G-d's yoke, he is a “ben beliya'al”, a person without a yoke [“beli ol”]. This expression connotes and evildoer, as we find regarding the apostate city: “Base people [bnei beliya'al] are gone out from the midst of you” (Deut. 13:14). Sifri comments (Re'eh 93), “Persons who broke off G-d's yoke.”Similarly, Sanhedrin 111b teaches, “Bnei beliya'al”: Persons who broke off the yoke of Heaven from their necks.” Yet they are not just “beli ol”, without a yoke, but “beli ya'al”, the serve no benefit [“to'elet] to anyone. Man was created only to accept the yoke of G-d's kingdom, and if he shirks this, then he serves no purpose and is better off dead.

The sin of such a person is “me'ilah”, which connotes “change”. As our sages said (Me'ilah 18a): If anyone commits a trespass [“ma'al”] (Lev. 5 :15): “Ma'al” always refers to some change, as in, If any man's wife go astray and act unfaithfully [“ma'al”] against him” (Num. 5:12), or “They broke faith with the G-d of their fathers and went astray after the gods of the peoples of the land” (I Chronicles 5:25). “Me'ilah" refers to change involving straying from the path, changing one's role, pursuing something foreign. The “mo'el” betrays his duty, the command given him. It is as though the “mo'el” has removed the cloak [“me'il”] that covers him, like the adulterer [“boged”] removing his clothing [“beged”]. Both are naked because they cast off their “me'il”, their “beged” and their “ol”[yoke]. In the Temple, the Torah established a “me'ilah” offering to atone for the person who betrayed the holy objects of G-d, deriving benefit from them as if they were non-holy, and transferring the holy to a non-holy domain. When G-d created the world, He defined and separated His beings and gave them borders and places of their own, domains to which they belong. The word domain [“reshut”] also means “place”, and can also connote a license to be somewhere or do something. A woman is set aside specifically for her husband. When she fornicates, she betrays him and her own domain, because her domain was sanctified and set apart. She received permission to be in her husband's place, and he becomes her domain. She has no license to be with another man who is not her domain. Similarly, the Jewish People were set apart fro G-d. He is their portion and inheritance. When they substitute idolatry or a foreign culture in His place, this constitutes change, straying, betrayal. The general rule is this: man was created to accept unto himself the yoke of Heaven and thereby to transcend his own egotism and fulfill his purpose in the world and the purpose of the world itself. Whoever breaks off his yoke betrays his task and forfeits his domain on this earth, because his presence here, in fact, his very creation, is no longer of benefit. How few, indeed, are the elite! Even so, we were commanded to study and to teach, to preserve and to practice G-d's idea of Jewishness as it was given to us, as we were truly and straightforwardly commanded. We must reject every trace of foreign culture, of falsification and distortion, and accept the yoke of Heaven.

Woman is the symbol of man's love and desire, for there is no love in man's nature greater than his love for woman. Precisely for this reason G-d created man and woman, so they would be bound together with fierce love and desire, ready to sacrifice for each other and to give of themselves to an extent unheard of in any other relationship. They would be willing even to sacrifice their lives for each other, so strong is that love.Being so fiercely bound to another human being is the apex of man's breaking down his selfishness, arrogance and evil impulse. G-d created this bond so that man would understand from it – at least in part – how powerful must be his love for G-d. Thus, if a husband is ever unfaithful to his wife, it constitutes betrayal of the true concept of love and a dreadful lie looming over the marital relationship. G-d decreed that this must be an exclusive relationship founded on mutual trust, a symbol of the prohibition against the dreadful sin of polytheism, worshiping idols as well as G-d (Ex.20:3). At the same time, an evil woman is a symbol of the opposite – idolatry. Whoever falls deeply in love with a woman who incites him to sin, even to heresy and idolatry, brings death unto himself. In his fierce love, he will be ready to do all she asks, even commit terrible sins. Thus, a woman can either symbolize love of G-d, or, Heaven forbid, love of heresy. After all, even heresy involves emotional attraction. As Berachot 12 b teaches: Why was the third paragraph of the Shema (Num. 15:37-41) established to be recited daily? R. Yehuda bar Chaviva said, “Because it contains six elements: 1) the mitzvah of Tzitzit; 2) the Exodus from Egypt; 3) the yoke of mitzvot; and admonitions against 4) heretical belief; 5) immoral sexual thought; and 6) idolatrous thoughts...” Indeed it was learned: “After your heart” (Num 15:39) refers to heresy, and it says (Ps. 14:1), “The fool says in his heart:'There is no G-d'”. Here we have proof that heresy depends on the heart and involves desire and attraction. Hence the woman, symbol of male desire, can either symbolize devotion to G-d or pursuit of heresy. Rashi interprets the verse, “I find more bitter than death the woman” (Eccles. 7:26): “Death is the harshest of ten harsh things created (Bava Batra 10a), and I find 'woman' – i.e. heresy – harsher still.”

Listen then to the truth. Let us savor the bitter fruits of our love affair with the world of gentilized civilization.It is a war for the hearts and souls and minds of the Jews. It is a war between those who wish to be amongst and like the nations, the gentiles, to embrace their culture and ideas and values and abominations; and between those who recognize their uniqueness and chosenness and who embrace the holiness of a separate, distinct, isolated, different people, living apart from all the others, unsullied by the abominations of cultures conceived in impurity and born in profane vanity. The values of Judaism are, in so many areas, and so overwhelmingly, different from those of western-gentilized Hellenism. What is ethical and what is moral and what is merciful and what is just? The answers of Judaism and of Hellenism are far apart. Political equality? Democracy? Tolerance of abomination? Freedom in social, personal affairs? The role of authority? Poles apart are the views of the Jews and the Hebrew-speaking gentiles. Sinai is cast away for Times Square and the purity of the Chosen people is exchanged for the material vomit of Los Angeles. The modesty of holiness is contemptuously abandoned and the nation wallows in the nakedness of gentile culture. “Thou hast built thy lofty place at every head of the way and hast made thy beauty an abomination and hast opened thy feet to everyone that passed by and multiplied thy harlotries.” (Ezekiel 16:24-25) Let us rise and garb ourselves with the cloak of sanctity; wrap ourselves in the regal robes of holiness. Every Jew a sacred child of G-d, the State of Israel the hallowed palace of the King of Kings. Let the Sabbath sing forth in joy from every home and the food that enters the mouth be as pure as the words that leave it. Let values be clean as the fresh mountain air of Zion and let degeneracy and vanity vanish as the morning mist before the warm sun of Jerusalem. Let hatred and violence and evil against brothers be buried beneath the centuries-old memories of common suffering. “I will betroth you unto Me via faith, and you shall know the L-rd” (Hosea 2:22). The “faith” referred to is the knowledge that there truly exists a Creator of the world, and that He is L-rd of hosts, the G-d of history and of truth. Such knowledge, and man's submission to G-d's ways and commandments, is man's purpose, and “this is the doctrine Moses placed before the People of Israel” (Deut. 4:44).

BENADOR: Memorial Day: Honor the Fallen and Protect our Troops

Memorial Day was established by General John Logan on May 5, 1868, and was observed for the first time on May 30, 1868.  They placed flowers on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. Ironically, the first state to officially recognize the holiday was New York in 1873, how can New York have changed so drastically, between then and 2012?  Then, in 1890, Memorial day was recognized by all of the northern states as well.

Following in General Logan’s footsteps, on this day we remember and honor those American soldiers who, for love of God and country, one day decided to listen to the “call” of duty and proceeded to sacrifice not only for themselves but they also shared it with their loved ones.

And while Memorial Day has turned to a BBQ holiday, where people wish one another “Happy” Memorial day, it is good to remember that this somber holiday is about honoring the Fallen.

Responding to “the Call”

While some enjoy everyday life tending mostly to their own needs, there are others, who for the love of country and of our people, decide to abandon everything they have, family, friends, comfort...  and join our military.  

That decision, however, implies a change not for the better for the direct families who have to learn to live in a one-parent family setting.  And while our soldiers give up love, their decisions also affect their spouses, who remain home, with the full responsibility of their family at home, living a loveless life as well.

General Patton and the Righteous War

Naturally, giving up on a life with a spouse is not an easy thing to say the least, but such acts of ultimate patriotism do not mean that anyone has given up on life.  

General Patton rightfully said:  “I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country...”

What he meant was that his soldiers had to take care of themselves, make the right decisions, precise and cautious moves, simply because he did not want them to die needlessly.

A Far Cry from Current American Leadership

What a far cry was General Patton’s position from the current liberal political and military leadership.

To give just an example of the difference between them, just imagine how would General Patton have reacted to the 9/11 attacks.  He would have said, “There is no place on earth that the bastards would have been able to hide!”   And he would have acted accordingly.

How about the twisted political-military policy of “courageous restraint?”  

Dear Reader, do you even imagine General Patton putting up with such an outrageous, insane, suicidal measure against his own men?  Never!

Patton was a Patriot

General Patton’s patriotism is such a foreign notion nowadays in America.  In his time, Americans knew their men were safe with him.  Safe, that is, under the circumstances of war where he or she could defend him or herself, then their death was something the families could deal with pain but also with dignity, pride and honor.  

However, in the current political-military situation, we will never know how our soldiers have died given that they must obey the rules of “courageous restraint” where the enemy’s life takes inordinate importance.  Under those circumstances it is doubtful that their families would have accepted let go of them and therefore, the country and the political and military leadership are accountable to our soldiers’ parents, husbands, wives, children and community at large.  

Wounded Warriors

As we honor the fallen, here a story of pain and post-traumatic stress disorder, courtesy of the Herald Mail:

“When the sun goes down, anxiety sets in.
Howard Burch is haunted by sounds, smells, horror and grief.
After the 1983 suicide bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, Burch was among the U.S. Marines on body detail.
“We had to go in and take the 63 bodies out of the embassy,” Burch said. “My job was to bag ’em and tag ’em. That’s something you can never live down, never forget.”
He returned home, terrified of sleep and the nightmares that menaced him. Life centered around avoiding sleep at any cost. Two failed marriages, drug addiction and homelessness ensued.
In 1997, Burch was diagnosed with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. But he didn’t receive appropriate treatment, he said, and spent years on the streets.”

In the above story, those 63 marines were our men.  And Howard Burch is also a casualty, almost a living dead.  And how many of them are roaming around...

Honor the Fallen

Each and all of our Fallen Soldiers are American heroes, and so are their families for having allowed them to join our military.  

And one way to honor the fallen is also to think of the future, and the American people, as one man, must stand behind their military, they must watch over them.  

They are fighting the wars abroad, as one elite commander once told me: “We can only try to keep them as far as possible from our shores...”   And, many of those wars have not been ours, and yet, our men have obeyed to the call.  

Our Military’s Keepers

There comes a time in the life of a nation, when the red light of danger is turned on, and people have to behave responsibly.  And that’s true above all in the case of our military people, who leave everyone behind to become our human shields, between the enemy and us.

In the liberal, anti-patriotic society we live in, it’s difficult to visualize what the word ‘responsibility’ means.  But, the responsibility of looking after them befalls on us, their thankful compatriots.

While the American military are fighting at the front, we owe it to them to stand up and shoulder them, here in mainland, because in reality they are not only fighting against the sworn enemies of America, but also against their worst enemy: our treacherous political-military leadership who are the ones bowing to foreign authorities, in flagrant attack and treason to our Constitution and our country.

And, as we honor our fallen heroes, we must watch after the living, that they may not be led into an undeserved, dishonorable death.

May the Fallen be honored by remembering their memory, not only on Memorial Day, but also every day as their struggle and courage knew no rest, no sleep and no respite.  

The lived and died to defend us.  We must live to honor their memory and defend the living.

BENADOR: Obama's Hate For America: Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Introduction

The poisoned prescription that Americans self-medicated themselves during last elections was a president whose priorities are divided between his communist agenda, his global agenda, his Muslim agenda and his African agenda -and the poison part comes when dealing with America, as he only uses her so that his other priorities can be successful.  

Record number of Food Stamps in America: 15% of population

According to data released by USDA last January, the number of Americans receiving food stamps, the aid given by the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program or SNAP, a year ago in August 2011, hit an all-time record: 45.8 million people, the equivalent of 15% of Americans.

Though a slight increase (1.1%) from a month earlier, 45.3 million Americans receiving that help was actually a massive 31% deterioration, compared to June 2009 -when, unrelatedly, the National Bureau of Economic Research announced that the last recession “was over.”

Of all states, surprisingly, the one with the largest food stamps recipients is Texas, with 4.12 million people on the program, followed by California with 3.82 million, according to the USDA and the spending then hit a record $6.13 billion.

An important detail can be read in this informative article, which enlightens us on why are so many PhDs on food stamps, welfare, and how the situation has worsened in recent years even for highly educated people.  

Obama, Black America, Islam, Globalism and Communism

When Barack Hussein Obama was elected back in 2008, “hope” was the order of the day.  It was very misleading as he brought hope of chaos and disintegration to our country, our economy, our traditions and our morale.

Indeed, this president has some specific interests, and at the top of his agenda are:  The cause of Black America.  Communism.  Globalism.  Islam and their perennial will for world domination, which Mr. Obama is actively facilitating within our borders and worldwide.  But, there is still something else up his sleeve.

Obama’s love for Africa -and Islam

Obama is loyal to many causes, except the cause of America.

He is loyal to Islam, thanks to his American liberal mother who introduced him to her two men:  His father, Barack Obama, Sr., who was from Kenya and who met his mother at Russian language class in Hawai’i University.  After divorcing Obama Sr., Stanley Ann Dunham married again, to another Muslim, Indonesian Lolo Soetoro, who was attending college in Hawai’i.  However, when Suharto came to power in 1967, Indonesian students studying abroad had to return home and the Soetoro family moved to Jakarta -and with them went Barack Hussein Obama, who, from 6 to 10 years old, attended local Jakarta schools.  

While many grant most importance to the two father Muslim figures in his life, we would be remiss if we did not give enough credit the sharp influence represented by his American liberal mother.  

Obama was influenced among others by Saul Alinsky and Frank Marshall Davis.  Davis was born 1905 in Arkansas City, Kansas.  He died in 1987, aged 81 in Honolulu, Hawai’i, where he lived since 1946.  He was a political and labor movement activist as well as another Chicago street organizer.  As we can see, Hussein Obama had a most “rounded” radical liberal upbringing.  

Obama Pledges Billions for Africa Hungry

Hussein Obama knows how to take care of his people, whether they are Muslims or Africans.  When he wants, Obama makes the world turn.

Indeed, last Friday, Hussein Obama said that “the United States has a "moral imperative" to lead the fight against hunger and malnutrition in Africa despite shrinking national budgets around the world.”

Does bankrupt America have any “moral imperative... regarding Africa or any other country for that matter?   No.  

Obama’s new topic of interest is food security which is been used as the new nom de guerre for “securing food to prevent global unrest.”  As per the White House three days ago they announced that:  “This weekend, the G-8 and African partners will launch the next phase of these efforts: the New Alliance for Food and Nutrition Security. The New Alliance is a commitment by G8 nations, African countries and private sector partners to lift 50 million people out of poverty over the next 10 years through inclusive and sustained agricultural growth.”

The American people must find out if Congress was consulted prior to Obama making his pompous announcement.  Or are they following the Panetta line, that they will only “inform” Congress after the decision has been made with the global authorities?

Obama said that the funds, $3 billion, would be raised in private sector pledges to help boost agriculture and food production in Africa.  So far, 45 companies worldwide have pledged those more than $3 billion to help solve scarce nutrition, in order to avoid potential threats to global security.  He added that U.S. and other donor nations would continue to make "historic investments" in development, though twisting his words, he offered no new American government pledges -for the time being.

Among the contributing companies, is the New Jersey-based, Cargill, Inc., international producer and marketer of food, agricultural, financial and industrial products.   Cargil should actually be making contributions to our system, to help those over 45 million get food.  

It gets worse

At a symposium in Washington, Obama said: “As the wealthiest nation on earth, I believe the U.S. has a moral obligation to lead the fight against hunger and nutrition and to partner with others.”   In the audience were U2 singer Bono and several African heads of state.

Conclusion

With 45.3 million Americans receiving food stamps because they don’t have enough means to buy food, the man cannot find anything better to do than create another global organization to raise private and government funds to go to the rescue 50 million Africans over the next 10 years -through inclusive and sustained agricultural growth.  

As president of the United States, his priority number one should be to alleviate our problems.  Therefore, if he’s going to raise private funds, the only goal should be to devote those funds for the well-being of Americans.  

But, what else can one expect from Hussein Obama?

His roots have been deeply ingrained in his blood by his American liberal mother who gave him a Muslim father and another Muslim father-figure.

Obama has never received any patriotic education, the love for America was never taught in his home, whether in Hawai’i, in Indonesia or in Kenya.  His, was an upbringing surrounded by people who were unable to see the force for the good that America has been. In his home, they hated America, they saw her as their greatest enemy, the reason for all what’s wrong in the world.  And they were here to fix the problem.  

As democracy made acceptable the hate towards one’s country, it gave birth to treacherous liberalism, progressivism, which are the antithesis of honor, love and respect of one’s country.  

However, the “democracy” of the traditional democratic lineages in our country were mostly worried in amassing wealth among a few, while advocating mostly  social benefits -but the American dream still, somehow, was kept alive.  But in no way, that “aristocratic democracy” would have wanted to open the doors of our country for the Muslim takeover, or for the surrender of our country to the global agenda of the United Nations and their other organizations, as Hussein Obama is intending to do ever since he received the reins of our country.  

The main difference between Obama, Clinton and our former aristocratic democrats was that the latter were proud and enjoyed being leaders of the world superpower.  And it's only with Obama that we heard for the first time an American president apologizing for our country.  A true disgrace!

Obama’s actions speak for him.  His words never say how great America is, or how noble our people are...  Obama never speaks of the need for a great American craftsmanship.  And he says no word of us having pride in our work, of the need for us to excel in whatever we do.   And about American history?  The only mention he has made about our history, is that he “wants to change it.”  


But his actions show where his priorities are. And, though president of this wonderful country, it is not America that's at the top of his priorities.
And, after ruining America even more than she ever was, with a debt at almost $16 TR, he still has the nerves to say that “As the wealthiest nation on earth... we have the moral obligation...”    

Under normal circumstances, one could think the man is insane.  But, his attitude towards our country and people is disrespectful, heinous and detrimental to the maximum, in other words, what he is doing against America the Beautiful, is pure evil.

Meanwhile, the American Congress does not seem to be sensitive enough to defend the rights, well-being and interests of the American people -and unless they wake up sooner rather than later, they all will risk being considered his accomplices.  

Elections are coming, and Americans must be sure not to repeat the same mistake again.     

There is only one party for which Americans of any affiliation must vote in this 2012 elections, and that's America.  

Americans elected Obama as president but they did not know that in reality they were giving the keys of our country to America’s worst enemy, because the reason for him to become president, was not to take care of our country or to nurture our people and allow America to continue being the superpower in the world.  Helped by a large part of the American people, his has been a progressive takeover of America for his own evil mission.  

One thing is essential now:  make sure Mr. Obama is only a one term president.

BENADOR: Celebrating Jerusalem Day: King David's City, Capital of the Land of Israe

The Old City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount were liberated during the 1967 Six-Day War.The day is marked by Jews worldwide as “Jerusalem Day.” Jerusalem belongs exclusively to the Jews.

I remember the first time I visited many years ago, I fell in love with Jerusalem, I enjoyed touching the Stones of Jerusalem, I knew I was touching the History of our people and, regardless of whimsical opinions, our History has made the History of the world...

"Jerusalem is for Israel the focal point of Jewish History: the symbol of ancient glory, of longing, of prayer, of modern renewal." -- Abba Eban

Jerusalem just as Israel were words pronounced by G-d himself for the first time ever.  And, those who want to contend this, they can feel free to show us where are those two words, Jerusalem and Israel, mentioned before the Torah.

The Talmud says Jerusalem was named by G-d and the name is formed by two roots:  Yira means “to see” or “vision” and and shalayim comes from the word-root shalom which means “peace.”   

The Talmud also says that the creation began in Jerusalem and from there, the world radiated.  As a matter of fact, medieval maps show Jerusalem at the epicenter of Asia, Europe and Africa.  The world flows into this spot and life itself resonates from there.

As Abraham said, Jerusalem is the place where one can see G-d.  It was also the place of Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac.

In the year 1004, before the common era, the G-d loving, fierce Jewish warrior, King David establishes Jerusalem as the Capital of the United Kingdom of Israel.

His successor and son, King Solomon, in 960, builds the Temple on the site designated by his father.  However, in 922, the Kingdom was divided between north (Israel) and south (Judah) with Jerusalem as capital of the southern kingdom.  In 586, Nebuchednazzar, King of Babylon captured and destroyed Jerusalem including the First Temple, and exiles the Jews to Babylon.   Entre 536-537, exile in Babylon ends and the Jews began their way back home led by Ezra and Nehemia.  During the reign of Darius in Persia, Jerusalem is restored and they dedicated the Second Temple.   Antiochus Epiphanes, King of Syria, plunders Jerusalem in 170, And during 167 to 164, the Maccabean revolts by Hasmoneans ended by the desecration of Temple by Antiochus.

And nowadays we are looking forward to rebuilding the Third Temple.

Let's celebrate Jerusalem Day, with joy in our hearts and prayers for her safety and the safety of the Land of Israel...

If your brother becomes impoverished and his means falter in your proximity, you shall strengthen him – proselyte or resident – so that he can live with you. Do not take from him interest and increase; you shall fear your G-d and let your brother live with you. (Lev. 25:35,36)

King Solomon said (Prov. 21:13), “He who stops his ears at the cry of the poor shall also cry himself but shall not be answered.” Anyone who deserts a person who needs him, will in turn be deserted by G-d. This is what happened to Elimelech: Elimelech was one of the leaders of the nation and sustainers of the generation. Yet when the years of famine arrived, he said: All Israel are gathering around my door, each one with his basket [asking for donations]. He got up and ran away from the Land (Ruth Rabbah 1:4). And he was punished for this by dying – he and both of his sons – in exile. Anyone who forsakes the divine commandment of lovingkindness – G-d will forsake him, measure for measure: Thus says Hashem: You have abandoned Me, and I, too, haveabandoned you (2 Chronicles 12:5).

Kindness and kind deeds are a general category that includes many individual mitzvot like charity, marrying off a poor girl, visiting the sick and comforting mourners. Truthfully, the potential for kind deeds is immeasurable. Anything one does for his fellow man, even offering a single kind word, is part of the kindness that builds the world. In other words, every good deed one does for his fellow man is called good because of the kindness it contains, because kindness is the fundamental kernel within all good. Loving one's fellow Jew is a mitzvah of global importance. Love, respect and reverence for our fellow Jew, created in G-d's image and sanctified at Sinai as G-d's elect, is the duty of every single Jew, because he is part of that chosen people.Every Jew must grow spiritually by showing love and respect for his fellow Jew. In that way, he expresses his esteem for someone holy and select, created in G-d's image and chosen at Sinai to be G-d's special treasure. In effect, he gains self-esteem as well. These benefits are secondary to the main benefit accrued: Though such behavior one suppresses the evil impulse and breaks down his ego. This is man's purpose, and doing so exalts and sanctifies him. It says, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The moment a person equates someone else – through the love and respect he shows him – with himself, thereby ceasing to view himself as the center of the world, his own ego will begin to grow smaller.

Kindness for one's fellow man, even for someone who is not one's relative and whom one does not know at all, is the trait that separates man from beast. It is this which elevates man to a level just beneath the angels, and perhaps just above them. Man's ability to give and to sacrifice his property and time for his fellow man is what G-d wished to implement on earth when He created it, and for this he created man.

R. Elazar said (Succah 49b), “Charity is only rewarded according to the kindness it contains, as it says (Hosea 10:12), 'Sow charity for yourselves, reap according to kindness.'” Rashi comments, “The giving is charity. The trouble taken is kindness, for example, bringing the money to the poor person's house, or taking the trouble that it should help him a lot... in short, paying full heed to the poor man's welfare.” How true are Rashi's words! Once more we have clear proof that the purpose of charity and kindness is its influence on the soul of the one offering it.

Make no mistake. Kindness, per se, is not the main purpose of creation or of Torah. Rather, it is the most outstanding, pronounced expression of modesty, self-abnegation, subjugation of the evil impulse and acceptance of G-d's yoke discernible in man. Man, by giving, nullifies his sense of taking. By worrying about his fellow man, he suppresses his selfishness, arrogance and lust. There is nothing great or praiseworthy about the poor person receiving kindness or charity. In taking and benefiting, one performs no mitzvah. The mitzvah is entirely in that the giver gives, that the kind person's mercy wells up and he forgets himself, his property and his selfishness, suppressing his ego and giving of his money or time to someone else. In doing so, he reinforces the humility within. By suppressing his evil impulse and lessening his lust, arrogance and selfishness, he fulfills his task on this earth. For this he was created. It is patently obvious that the main purpose of kind deeds is not that the receiver receive but that the giver give. Regarding tzedaka (“charity”), Chazal said a great thing which holds true regarding all mitzvot between man and his fellow man: The poor man does more for the donor than the donor does for the poor man. For as Ruth said to Naomi, “The name of the man with whom I worked today is Boaz” (Ruth 2:19). It does not say “who worked with me,” but “with whom I worked”. She said to her: Many good deeds have I done with him today for the slice that he gave me (Leviticus Rabbah 34:8). True, the simple meaning is that the master receives greater income from G-d than what he gives in charity. But Chazal take this far deeper: the greatness of the mitzvah of tzedaka is not that the poor man receives, but that the giver gives. There is no greatness in a person receiving something material – but great is the person who gives to someone else, thereby relinquishing the benefit that he could have received from his money. Performing this mitzvah affects his soul. He elevates and sanctifies it by removing the selfishness that encrusts it. Therefore Ruth said, Many good deeds have I done with him today.The same applies to any form of kindness that a person performs for his fellow-man: the greatness lies, not in the receiving, but in the active performance of giving. This is the great difference between Torah and socialism: Torah emphasizes the giving, whereas socialism emphasizes the receiving – and receiving only increases the selfishness of the recipient, who will never be satisfied with what he has received. The Jews who distort the Torah are so influenced by the alien culture that they turn kindness and mercy into goals in and of themselves. By such means they elevate them above all the mitzvot, necessarily diminishing the value of all other mitzvot. They also push the concepts of kindness and mercy to foolish and dangerous extremes, while they themselves include wicked enemies of the Jewish People. The real meaning of kindness and truth is that these principles are only part, albeit an exceedingly marked and conspicuous part, of the Torah's main purpose and goal – self-abnegation and suppression of our evil impulse and arrogance. All the mitzvot were given for this purpose, but kindness and mercy are the most direct part to this goal, as I have explained. Such acts express the Torah's essence, breaking down one's ego. The word mercy – “rachamim” in Hebrew – comes from “rechem”, womb. There is no mercy like that of a mother for the child of her womb. There is an inseparable bond between them because the child is part of her body, “flesh of her flesh” (Gen. 2:23). Just so must be a Jew's mercy for his fellow Jew (if that fellow is worthy). It should resemble a mother's mercy for her child.

BENADOR: Obama vs Troops Part I: From Heroes to Traitors, From Patton to Dempsey

Military Series Part I

Ever since Obama received the reins of power, his anti-Americanism has been blatant.  He has waged a vicious war against America, removing brick by brick along his path, to radically transform our country to his globalist, communist-Islamic agenda.

His assault has targeted our core principles, values and institutions that have contributed to make America one of the youngest world  superpowers, barely a couple of hundred years old, in a world that easily counts its history by the millennia.

Not a partisan issue
Having a president who does not defend his own country or the troops who risk their lives and thus put the lives and future of their loved ones at risk, is one of the worst self-inflicted catastrophes a country can suffer.

Both, defending our country and our troops, amount to the basic instinct a president must have towards his countrymen, who are entrusting him to protect and to be loyal to, beyond and above any other interest in his personal and professional agenda.

That’s why those democrats who mistook Obama, should talk to their conscience and accept that Obama’s Democracy it’s not at all their kind of Democracy.  

As of late, there are rumors that even members of the Kennedy family are unhappy with their anointed -and rumors have them conflicted because Obama is the only candidate they consider “theirs”.  

However, American democrats must know that they “do” have another party to vote for:  America, that needs their vote to save her, and that is between them and their conscience.

As for conservatives, it’s time to understand the newest golden rule:  Whoever does not lift a hand to stop the evil rising in their midst, is an accomplice to that same evil.   And they also have to make an effort and stand up to stop the disintegration of America.

Does 2012 America even remember what Patriotism is?

The dictionary tells us that Patriotism is “a devoted love, support and defense of one’s country; it is also national loyalty.”

So, Patriotism is not a question of political party, it’s exclusively the love that one has for one’s country, and the intrinsic wish to see that country safe, prosperous, thriving in science, technology, culture, educating their population in the best possible way to turn them productive members of a blossoming country.

Fighting with an enemy who aims at nothing less than world domination and the forcible imposition of sharia or  their Muslim law, demands serious measures to protect our country.  

And the people currently at the helm, are incompetent and inept to fulfill that job.  

Taliban Terrorists being Secretly Released By US

Once again, thanks to foreign media we have learned that in an incredible secret operation the American administration is releasing key Taliban terrorists, who are prisoners at the Bagram Prison, north of Kabul, Afghanistan.  This is part of “negotiations” with insurgents aka Taliban Muslim terrorists. Obama and his people consider the move “valuable and strategic.”
So far, seems that 20 Taliban terrorists have been freed under this program.
The clandestine “strategic release” operates as follows:  America is using Taliban terrorists from the Afghan Bagram prison, as bargaining chips to try to reach local deals with insurgents -this is how the Obama administration prefers to call the Taliban terrorists.  And, that’s their modus operandi.

Naturally, officials admit the plan is risky and difficult to monitor and they would not say whether any of those released had resumed attacks on Nato or Afghan forces -but it is definitely a possibility.

To crown the whole operation, seems that commanders from both the American and Afghan forces have released prisoners terrorists who were "willing to renounce violence and engage in the process of reconciliation.”  

But, what about taqqiya...?  It’s the Islamic lawful right to distort truth as needed to advance the cause of Islam towards world domination under sharia law. Believers are those who purposefully want to believe.  

Reportedly, the decision to release a detainee takes into account whether they pose any “further” security threat.  Well, if they were not posing any more security threat they would have been freed, wouldn’t they?

Obama forgets Soldier Bowe Bergdahl, Taliban prisoner since 2009

The American administration is too busy trying to appease, legitimize and negotiate with terrorists using all kinds of legal acrobacies and tyrannic military measures to purposefully and unconstitutionally avoid submitting important items in their agenda for Congress approval.  

Meanwhile, there is an American soldier, Bowe Bergdahl, who has been a prisoner of Taliban Muslim terrorists since 2009.  Three years have elapsed, and this president and his administration are freeing Taliban terrorists as part of their dubious negotiations with the terrorists -but three years later, Bowe Bergdahl rots at the hands of the Taliban.  Is the administration giving time to Taliban to brainwash our American soldier?  Whatever it is, they don’t seem to care.  

Marine Col. David Lapan, spokesman for Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that “ the family is not advised on whether to discuss the case with the news media.”  Obama again negotiating with Muslim terrorists.  What else is new?   

From Heroes to Traitors: From Patton to Dempsey

Throughout American History, we have been blessed with Military men who have been raised as loving, devoted Americans.  One that shines among them, is our illustrious and incomparable General Patton.  

Patton’s childhood was one imprinted with the love of America.  And already as a boy he knew he wanted to become a war hero. Patton’s story is remarkable because it comes to us with a message of how to make American patriots.  At home, when he was a young child, he often heard countless stories of his ancestors’ victories in the American Revolution and Civil War.

Naturally, Patton was driven by the example of his ancestors, he wanted to follow in their footsteps.  In 1904, when he was nineteen years old, he enrolled in Virginia Military Institute.  And, a year later, he attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, graduating on June 11, 1909.

Patton, had an admirable, unique, patriotic career, filled with success galore. He became a legend that should inspire once again our young men who are lacking role models, to guide them towards a patriotic and caring attitude to a nation to which they owe so much.  Patton used to say that “Americans despise cowards...”  Maybe it’s time to find ourselves again, Patton’s Americans.

He became famous for his speech to his soldiers of the Third Army.

Dempsey

Dempsey, is the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the infamous and anti-American General who recently ordered the entire U.S. military to scour its training material to make sure it doesn’t contain [any] hateful material [against Islam and its Muslim terrorism,] a process that is still ongoing.  

Dempsey was also with Panetta, telling Senator Jeff Sessions without any remorse, that in case of war, they are accountable “first” to the UN and to Nato [which, as we know is at the hands of ISAF, one of the UN-Muslim nests.]   They clearly said that only then they would “inform” Congress.

As part of the idea-laundering, they are for instance, imposing a misleading goal for our political and military leadership and they are insisting that the terms Islam and Muslim terrorism be removed, calling them rather “prisoners” or “insurgents”.

Conclusion

The situation in America is worsening.  The gap between the Obama administration and the best interests of America is insurmountable.  

And the above mentioned case of Bowe Bergdahl and the freeing of the Taliban terrorists, is an amazing display of how this administration allies with the enemy at the expense of our men in uniform and also of our civilian population whose countdown has begun, because no one should expect that Muslims here will behave as us.  Trouble will soon begin, especially as elections 2012 approach.

Bowe Bergdahl is another Obama victim -and he must be freed by the Taliban without delay.

We have nothing in common with anti-American, anti-patriotic Obama and his team, who live day after day, humiliating our country in front of the whole world.  

Where is the American spirit?  Seems as if though the liberal ideas have encroached even the most staunch conservatives, to the detriment of our lives and our country.

But through our American History, Patton comes back to us and rises as an example of strength, fortitude, and above all, Patriotism and love to our land and her values.   

Patton is here now, among us, to remind us who we are.
